Boomerang Farm Wedding Film

Boomerang Farm, now The Acre Boomerang Hills, is a rainforest property at Mudgeeraba built around tropical gardens and a restored 1902 barn.

The ceremony. The ceremony is held on an open lawn or on the more enclosed rainforest deck, with one spot over a running stream.

Portraits. In my film here, the couple leans against a vintage camper van in front of dark rainforest, she in a flower crown, a relaxed, personal portrait. The gardens and the stream are close to the barn.

The reception. Dinner and dancing take place in the restored barn.

The open Ceremony Lawn and the enclosed Rainforest Deck give two very different kinds of light, and the restored 1902 barn has its own warm, low light at night. Styled shoots at the property have made good use of the after-dark mood, so ask the venue about the barn's lighting and whether the deck can be used after dark.

A rainforest deck and a barn mean a big contrast between bright and shaded light, so I will plan the ceremony and the portraits around the sun. We can use the stream and the gardens for quiet portraits before the reception.
