Brisbane Club Wedding Film

The Brisbane Club is a heritage members' club in the CBD, looking across to the old General Post Office and Anzac Square. Inside it is warm, formal and richly detailed, with mahogany, chandeliers and stained glass.

Getting ready. The President's Room is a private retreat for the bride to get ready.

The reception. In my film here, the couple's first dance fills the Members Dining Room in warm, low light, with guests close around them in black tie. The Club Lounge hosts drinks and canapes before dinner.

The President's Room is private, so it works well for getting-ready shots, and the Club Lounge suits pre-dinner drinks. The club shows its function rooms by appointment, so book a visit at the time of day of your ceremony.

Rooms like this reward careful lighting, so I will plan my positions around the chandeliers and the windows and keep to the quiet, observational style that suits a formal setting. A bridal retreat on site is also a lovely place for the early morning moments before the ceremony.
