Brisbane Powerhouse Wedding Film

Brisbane Powerhouse is a converted power station beside the Brisbane River and New Farm Park.

The ceremony. Couples marry on the Riverbend Terrace, a covered deck with river views, or on the Turbine Platform, a cathedral-like space beside the foyer.

Portraits. In my film here, the couple holds each other forehead to forehead in warm, low light. The heritage brick, the river and New Farm Park give very different backdrops.

The reception. The Rooftop Terrace has heritage graffiti walls and river views, and the Dome tent on the lawn suits a larger party.

Couples choose Brisbane Powerhouse for an industrial city wedding with the river outside: raw brick and concrete, a covered terrace and a park for portraits, all close to the CBD.

The Powerhouse mixes dark industrial rooms with bright river light, so I plan my exposure and audio for each space, and the portraits for the park and the river at golden hour.
