Crystalbrook Byron Wedding Film
Crystalbrook Byron, which many people still know as The Byron at Byron, is a resort and spa set in about 45 acres of rainforest, with a lake, a verandah and spa suites. Here is how a wedding there looked on film.
About Crystalbrook Byron
Crystalbrook Byron is set in about 45 acres of rainforest near the ocean, with a lake, a creek and a lawn.
It was The Byron at Byron until the Crystalbrook Collection took it over and rebranded it as Crystalbrook Byron in September 2019.

Getting ready. Spa suites on site let the couple get ready and stay the night.
The ceremony. The ceremony spaces are the Rainforest Verandah, the Lawn, Tallow Creek and the Lotus Lake.
Portraits. In my film here, the couple sits on a footbridge over a lily-pad pond surrounded by lush trees. The lake, the bridge and the rainforest paths give plenty of locations.
Why couples choose it
Couples choose Crystalbrook Byron for an exclusive, resort-style wedding in the rainforest: a choice of settings, and a place to stay on the wedding night. It suits couples who want a full weekend in one place.
One couple chose it as a destination wedding where guests could take a holiday of a few days and spend time with them, with the ceremony in a secluded rainforest spot among lily ponds. The resort is in about 45 acres of subtropical rainforest, moments from Tallow Beach.
What couples say
Couples who married here in its Byron at Byron days describe a relaxed atmosphere and good food, and beautiful accommodation, including spacious private suites overlooking the rainforest.
Filming a wedding at Crystalbrook Byron
With Stephanie & Andrew, I filmed moments like the couple sitting on a footbridge over a lily-pad pond, surrounded by lush trees. Read their story.
The rainforest gives golden light filtering through the canopy in summer, with boardwalks, the Rainforest Verandah, the Lawn and the infinity pool as photo spots. I could not find videography-specific guidance for the resort, so ask the wedding team about the access, power and sound for each ceremony space.
Rainforest light is soft and variable, and a lake and a verandah give you very different settings, so we will plan the ceremony and the portraits around the light. Staying on site makes the morning easy, and I can film the early preparations.
