Kondalilla Falls Wedding Film

Kondalilla Falls is a national park near Montville, with a waterfall, rainforest walks and lookouts over the valley. It is used for elopements and for portraits more than for a full wedding.

Portraits. In my film here, the bride stands on a rocky outcrop above a forested valley. The lookouts and the rainforest circuit give long views and deep green, so the wedding party needs sensible shoes.

Couples are drawn to Kondalilla for the sheer drama of the place: tall trees, falling water and a long view. It suits a small, adventurous ceremony or portraits among the rainforest, with a reception somewhere nearby in Montville or Maleny.

Kondalilla is a national park, so there are rules for filming and photography. Queensland's parks service asks photographers and filmmakers to lodge a notification at least 14 days before entering, and a commercial activity permit can be needed for larger groups or for structures, with drones counting as structures. Ask the park service what applies to your group before you plan the day.

A ceremony in a national park needs checking with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service first, as there can be permits, group size limits and rules about music and decorations. Take sensible shoes for the walks, and let me know the plan so I can build in time to travel between locations and keep everyone safe near the cliff edges.
