Moda Events Portside Wedding Film

Moda Events Portside is a function venue on level two of Portside Wharf at Hamilton, looking over the Brisbane River.

The ceremony. The balcony can host an outdoor ceremony over the river, though the couples I have filmed here married at a church first and came to Moda for the reception.

Portraits. In my films here, the portraits were taken at Brisbane Powerhouse and New Farm Park, and the river terrace gives a backdrop at dusk.

The reception. The reception is in the light-filled indoor space, with a private balcony for drinks as the sun sets.

Couples choose Moda for a wedding right on the river, close to the city: a reception with floor-to-ceiling views, a balcony for drinks as the sun goes down, and parking at the wharf.

A balcony over the river and a reception indoors give two very different kinds of light, so I plan my exposure and audio for both. Many couples marry at a church first, so we plan the travel and the timing between the ceremony, the portraits and the reception.
