One Tree Hill Wedding Film

One Tree Hill is a single native tree on a grassy knoll in Maleny with a view to the Glass House Mountains. It is a portrait spot more than a venue, and access is arranged with the owner.

Portraits. In my film here, the couple sits close on a fallen log among long grass and bush. The tree and the open sky mean the time of day matters more than anything else.

Couples are drawn to One Tree Hill for the picture it makes: one tree, a long hill and a big sky. It is the kind of place that makes portraits feel timeless, and it is a short drive from Maleny's chapels and reception venues.

The tree is on private land, and photographers who work in Maleny say the owners have long been generous in allowing couples to photograph there, with a small fee going to charity. Check the current arrangement with the owner well before the wedding. Late afternoon gives you the most time before the sun drops behind the mountains, and sunrise is lovely too.

A hilltop with a single tree has almost no shade and a lot of sky, so the time of day makes all the difference. I will plan with you to arrive when the sun is low and the light is soft, and we will check access with the owner well before the wedding.
