Prideaux Estate Wedding Film

Prideaux Estate is a small garden property at Ilkley, with a timber chapel, a jetty, a stone arbour and a duck pond. Every one of those is a ready-made photo spot.

The ceremony. The timber chapel has arched windows and antique pews. For an elopement, the jetty and the arbour work well too.

Portraits. In my film here, I flew over the couple as they lay in a small white rowboat among the lily pads, and the jetty and the pond are the obvious places for portraits. The stone arbour gives a more formal frame.

Couples choose Prideaux for a private, romantic wedding: a chapel, a garden and a few special places to have to yourselves, in the hinterland but not far from the beach. It works well for a small guest list.

The photo spots are all close together: the jetty, the stone arbour, the duck pond with its water lilies and rowboats, and the timber chapel with its large arched windows. The property is set up for small ceremonies, with the chapel limited to two ceremonies a day and about sixty people at each, so plan a gentle schedule. The estate does not currently have its own reception facilities, so your reception is usually elsewhere, and I would plan the travel and the timing between the two.

On a small property the detail matters, so we can plan a gentle timeline that moves between the chapel, the jetty and the arbour without rushing. I will ask about your guest numbers early, and about the reception plan, so I can cover the whole day.
