Spicers Clovelly Estate Wedding Film
Spicers Clovelly Estate is a boutique retreat in the hills at Montville, with fig trees and jacarandas, a restaurant on site and suites to stay in. Here is how a wedding there looked on film.
About Spicers Clovelly Estate
Spicers Clovelly is a 22-acre estate at Montville with fig trees, jacarandas and views over the hinterland, used exclusively by one wedding at a time.
Your wedding day at Spicers Clovelly Estate
Getting ready. Suites on the property let the wedding party get ready on site.
The ceremony. The ceremony is under a sprawling jacaranda or on the Library Deck.
Portraits. In my film here, the couple kisses in front of white French doors with climbing jasmine. The fig trees, the jacaranda and the gardens are all close together, so you are never far from the next backdrop.
The reception. Dinner is served by the estate's own restaurant, the Long Apron, on the deck or in the grounds.
Why couples choose it
Couples choose Spicers Clovelly for a luxury hinterland wedding: privacy, beautiful food, a place to stay and a setting with a sense of occasion. It suits couples who want the venue to feel like a country house for the weekend.
Couples chose it for the European-style grounds, and one wanted a jacaranda tree to marry under. They valued having the whole property to themselves, with separate areas for the ceremony, the garden party, the reception and the dancing, and some guests staying overnight. Another couple cut their guest list and wanted the ceremony, the photos, the reception and the wedding party's stay all on one property. Others wanted a relaxed, home-like feast with long tables and corners for wine and cheese, and one bride had admired the estate for years before she was engaged.
What couples say
Couples describe the team as attentive and praise their communication. Guests single out the food from the on-site restaurant, and those who stayed describe the estate as breathtaking and the staff as lovely.
Filming a wedding at Spicers Clovelly Estate
With Belinda & Seb, I filmed moments like the couple kissing in front of white French doors and climbing greenery, a welcome sign beside them. Read their story.
The Library Deck has clear blinds, heaters and an audio system with a microphone, and it is split into a lower and an upper deck, so you can film at different heights. The bridal party has access to the whole property for photos on the day. Couples have planned their wedding around the jacaranda bloom, which shifts from year to year, so ask the venue what the trees are doing for your date. There is an indoor option for wet weather.
Because the property is yours for the wedding, we can plan a calm, unhurried day, and film the morning preparations, the ceremony, the reception and the evening without anyone watching the clock. Tell me early which spaces you have chosen and I will plan around the light on the deck and the gardens.
