The Bower Estate Wedding Film

The Bower Estate sits in the hills at Natural Bridge, in the Gold Coast hinterland, with open mountain lawns, a pine forest and a marquee strung with fairy lights. Here is how two of those days looked on film.

About The Bower Estate

The Bower Estate is about 120 acres at Natural Bridge, with mountain lawns, a pine forest, a fig tree and a verandah.

Your wedding day at The Bower Estate

The ceremony. Ceremonies are held on the lawns, in the pine forest, under the fig tree or on the verandah.

Portraits. In my films here, the groom kisses the bride's hand among tall trees as she lifts her dress, and the bride rests her head on his shoulder against a stone wall. The pine forest is the standout location.

The reception. The marquee has a ceiling of fairy lights.

Why couples choose it

Couples choose The Bower for the hills: a mountain setting that still feels connected to the Gold Coast, where guests can be collected from the coast and brought up in comfort. It suits couples who want a full-service country wedding without arranging everything themselves.

What couples say

Couples say the team helped from planning right through to the wedding day, and that the Bower team made their dream wedding come to life.

Couples valued having the ceremony and reception at the same site so guests did not need to travel between them, and they describe it as an amazing outdoor rainforest retreat with a secluded setting and mountain backdrops. Another couple credited the coordinator and the online planning tools with keeping them on budget.

Filming a wedding at The Bower Estate

With Liz & Tom, I filmed moments like the groom kissing the bride's hand among tall trees as she lifts her dress. Read their story.

With Susan & Shaune, I filmed moments like the bride resting her head on the groom's shoulder, both smiling, a stone wall behind them. Read their story.

With Hayman & Dan, I filmed moments like the couple in silhouette at sunset, a ceremony arbour on the hill behind them. Read their story.

The estate has several very different backdrops: open mountain lawns, a pine forest, a fig tree, a verandah and a marquee with a ceiling of fairy lights. Because most packages include coach transfers from the Gold Coast, guests tend to arrive and leave together, which makes the timeline tidy. Ask the venue about its vendor guidelines, including drone, lighting and power rules.

With several ceremony spots and a marquee to choose between, we will talk through the plan so the film follows your day from the pine forest to the fairy lights. Evening in the hills is cool and the light drops quickly, so I will plan the portraits for a little before sunset.
