The Star Gold Coast Wedding Film

The Star is a large resort at Broadbeach with ballrooms, a marquee and a rooftop for smaller weddings.

The ceremony. In my film here, the ceremony is a traditional one under a floral canopy hung with white drapes, with the couple in cream and pink and gold, which shows how well a ballroom adapts to a cultural ceremony.

Portraits. Isoletto Prive is a rooftop with shady nooks and sunlit decks, panoramic views over the hinterland and the Broadbeach skyline and a minimalist look that suits portraits.

The reception. The Event Centre Ballroom opens onto a lawn, and the Marquee and Isoletto Prive suit smaller or more relaxed receptions.

The Event Centre Ballroom is a big room that is also used for conferences, so ask the events team about its lighting and sound set-up before the day. Check whether drones are allowed for any aerial shots.

Large ballrooms need thought about light and sound, so I will talk through the room with you and the venue team in advance. The lawn beside the ballroom is a good place for portraits if the weather is kind, and we can plan around it.
