Villa Botanica Wedding Film

Villa Botanica is a wedding estate at Airlie Beach, with a hand-carved timber pavilion, a palm-lined mosaic walkway and a marble ballroom.

Getting ready. A bridal villa gives the couple a place to get ready and stay.

Portraits. In my film here, the couple is pressed close among bright tropical leaves, the groom in a vivid blue suit. The pavilion and the walkway give the more formal frames.

The reception. The marble ballroom hosts the reception.

Couples choose Villa Botanica for a tropical destination wedding with everything arranged: a dramatic setting, guest transport and a team that is used to looking after wedding parties who have travelled.

One couple loved Bali but knew their families would struggle to travel there, so they looked for the nearest equivalent in Australia. They flew to Airlie Beach to visit before they booked, and said the photos cannot capture the warm weather, the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks below the cliff. Another couple wanted an intimate wedding and kept the decoration minimal, because the venue was so beautiful that they wanted to let it speak for itself.

Couples value the guest transport, which collects guests from around Airlie Beach and takes them home at night.

The hand-carved timber pavilion is approached by a palm-lined walkway, and the seaside lawn terrace looks out toward the sunset. The grounds are large, with the rainforest, the cactarium and a private beach on offer for portraits, and your wedding has the estate to itself. Whitsunday weather can change, so plan a backup for the sunset session.
