Yandina Station Wedding Film

Yandina Station is a beautifully restored homestead in the Sunshine Coast hinterland: wide lawns, rustic charm and sunsets that do half the work. A real wedding filmed there:

About Yandina Station

Yandina Station is a historic property with an ancient Moreton Bay fig tree, a homestead from the 1870s and a Dairy Barn.

Your wedding day at Yandina Station

The ceremony. The ceremony is held beneath the fig tree, in dappled light.

Portraits. In my film here, the couple stands in a golden paddock with a timber fence and rolling hills in the late light. The fig tree, the homestead and the paddocks are all within a short walk.

The reception. The reception is candlelit in the homestead or in the Dairy Barn, as in the long tables and fairy lights I filmed here.

Why couples choose it

Couples choose Yandina Station for the feeling of arriving home: a relaxed country property, an enormous old fig tree and owners who treat guests as their own. Everything on site keeps the day low stress.

What couples say

Couples say the owners are easy to deal with and always available for questions, and that they treat you as guests in their home. They talk about delicious food, a relaxed country feel and a stress-free day because everything was on the property.

Filming a wedding at Yandina Station

With Leilane & Lachlan, I filmed moments like the couple hand in hand inside a rustic reception space, long tables and fairy lights behind them. Read their story.

With Kayla & Jess, I filmed moments like the couple standing together in a golden paddock, a timber fence and rolling hills in the late light. Read their story.

With Tammy & Michael, I filmed moments like a close, golden-lit portrait of the couple, her pearl headband catching the low sun. Read their story.

With Vanessa & James, I filmed moments like the groom lifting the bride in a golden paddock, the sun flaring behind them. Read their story.

With Jess & Luke, I filmed moments like the couple kissing on the steps of a timber verandah, a red bouquet in the bride's hand. Read their story.

With the ceremony, the reception and the accommodation all on the property, photographers and videographers have an abundance of locations without leaving it, from the fig tree to the homestead and the Dairy Barn. One couple built their styling around aged timber, rusty iron and greenery, which shows how well the property's textures photograph. Ask the owners about any rules for the heritage buildings and the old fig tree.

The fig tree gives you beautiful dappled light, so we will plan the ceremony time to suit. With the cabins on site, I can film the morning preparations, the ceremony and the reception without anyone needing to travel.
